Do You Really Want Your Site on page one of Google?
Do you really want your site on the first page of Google for your selected keyword phrase (s)? What do you want to achieve your online marketing campaign for you?
I asked a potential new SEO coaching client last week that question. From my end of the interview, it sounded as if he almost fell out of the chair!
I followed, taking him if he ever had a reason for his website could not think of pages to be found on page one in Google's SERPs (search engine results pages).
How about you? Can you, for whatever reasons, you do not want your pages would hold to be found for your targeted keyword phrases on a page?
Remember, I'm talking about your chosen keyword search phrases.
I can think of at least three reasons. Perhaps you can with some of your own.
Are there any commercial purposes?
Suppose you not only have a Google page one result, but you really are the first result. Here an important question is to ask for yourself.
What is the commercial intent of this keyword phrase? Have the words in the keyword phrase, an indication of someone getting ready to include money for a product or service as you offer to spend?
To compare these keyword phrases: Keyword Research, Keyword Research Keyword Research Specialist and Consultant. The latter two sentences give an indication of someone who is always willing to spend money.
You can also use Google Microsoft Commercial Intent Tool and see their 'results in assessing your keyword search term decisions.
If you are targeting a keyword phrase, the questionable commercial intent, at best, there is a reason to be found on page one really needs? Would it not be better, more appropriate phrases instead of aim?
If it sees no commercial purpose, which helps your online marketing?
Can you see where I go?
How much traffic Really Matters
Now I give you a choice: You can have a result of the first page (with commercial intentions) and your item number 4.
Your other option is run a different keyword search phrase with a second page, item number 12, also with commercial purposes.
Thus the choice of hand?
Well, I forgot to give you the rest of the details.
The first page of choice has monthly searches for his set of 3240th
The second page monthly selection has lead searches for his set of 22 167.
Do you remember that the best choice in this example, the first page of results?
According to figures from Aaron Wall's site, about 6% of users looking to this number 4 result on Google click. That's 194 hits a month.
This is to find out the average title and description tags of the typical online marketing ability to convert at a click. "Your results may vary."
And run for this second choice, the second page? More than 1% you should be on the search result, but let us use it only 1%. The fact that the 222 visitors per month.
Last time I checked, I, 222 more than 194 lead, the second side trumps outcome of the first page, because the second page of results much more traffic than to convert to a transaction.
How many Google AdWords ads for your selected keyword?
If you do not see many AdWords ads, this should be a warning!
One of the two problems are (or both):
1st There are not enough data for advertisers to target phrase.
2nd It is not profitable for the phrase.
Either way, is a result of the first page to help you with? Probably not.
The value of a committed Searcher
Want a recipe for your time (or your employees)?
Get a result of the first page in Google for your keyword search term and place of your toll-free phone number in large numbers on the top right of each of your websites.
The people click the first result in the SERPs are often less severe than those that go by the first search results or to continue on the second page.
There must be something to avoid people who happened to be almost on the first result, and who may have impulse control "issues," said.
Well, if you have a large staff to answer incoming calls and if your conversion rate from those calls is high, is the potential problem I have described is probably not a problem for your company.
On the other hand, if you are a solo professional, this strategy can be dangerous!
How could you want to run your paid work when you "get Internet lookiloos" You ask questions get answered, if they would simply read a few words on your site?
Are these the best prospects for your services or products and the best use of your time?
A second result page, you could bring more potential customers seriously, people who can actually be more likely to read your website content, products or services to better understand and who could tend to convert to a transaction.
It is certainly something to think about.
Do not get me wrong. I am not opposed to the first page rankings for your online marketing. I am only for thinking a little further down the road, as only first page rankings.
