However, there are of course pitfalls and concerns when taking on such a venture. Most businesses fail within their first year and then many more in the next few years. As a result you can plan your life accordingly.

Depending on your person you may not benefit from the social aspect of work also. Working from home on your own you will miss out on the Christmas parties and the company perks. The social aspect of working with other people in teams may be sorely missed.

There are obviously pros and cons to setting up a home based business, but it really comes down to what sort of person you are and what sort of life you lead. For many the security of having their pay-cheque come in every month is comforting and they might have too much responsibility such as a family to provide for. However, if you have the opportunity and the drive it may well be for you.
