RankPay – A performance based search engine optimization company

by admin | 14th December 2010

Lately, reading through numerous SEO and affiliate marketing news, I came across an interesting SEO service called RankPay. Maybe you have heard of it, there has been some buzz around it. After some investigation and weighing the pros against the cons I decided to give RankPay a try. So I have started with RankPay about two days ago.

But let’s start at the beginning. What is the SEO company RankPay all about?

RankPay is a performance based search engine optimization company based out of San Diego, California. They offer a very unique SEO service unlike any other we’ve come across on the internet. Their motto says it all, If you don’t rank, you don’t pay. With RankPay there are literally no startup costs or set up fees. They will get your website SEO campaign underway for free. RankPay only charges your after you have achieved rankings for desired keywords as well.

How does RankPay work?

When visiting RankPay.com, you are asked to enter your domain name followed by the keyword that you’d like to optimize for. You are then presented with upfront pricing for that specific keyword. RankPay charges for rankings from positions #30 – #1 in Google, Yahoo and Bing.

RankPay focuses primarily on off-site optimization, or better known as link building. They do make sure that your on-site optimization is up to standard and will even help you make the desired changes to your website. After verifying the on-site optimization, they will begin building backlinks to your website.

RankPay has a userzone that provides up to date information about rankings, links to your site, and other valuable information about the health of your SEO campaign. You also receive ranking notifications via email on the 1st and 15th of the month as well.

Keyword Research Tips

Rankpay has created a very unique keyword research tool that helps you determine the best keywords for your SEO campaign. They will calculate a keyword opportunity for your website based upon a variety of factors. When selecting a keyword to optimize with Rankpay you’ll want to either select a keyword that is Excellent or Good. Generally Rankpay won’t accept keywords with any less of an opportunity. That’s so that you don’t end up getting stuck on page 2 or page 3 and paying for a minimal amount of traffic.

Bonus Tip: Choose localized keywords. Are you a business that offers a local service or product? By choosing a local keyword, such as Orlando Flowers, your pricing will be greatly reduced and you’ll have an easier time ranking!

After you’ve selected your keywords for your campaign you are ready to get started. Simply submit your campaign.

There is one question that is to be asked for any SEO or affiliate marketing service or tool: Is RankPay a scam?

With a very high propability, RankPay is not a scam. Here are the reasons, why I think so::

  1. No upfront fees
  2. Pay AFTER rankings
  3. No negative feedback

Let’s go through everything, first Rankpay doesn’t require any upfront fees. There is literally zero risk with Rankpay. If they don’t perform for you in the search engines, then you literally aren’t liable for anything. I don’t think that a scam service can offer such conditions.

So here is my verdict on RankPay:

RankPay seems to be a fantastic business model, and a great solution for those individuals that simply cannot manage their own SEO campaign or that would like to have it outsourced. They offer a risk-free proposal, if you don’t rank then you don’t pay. That’s something revolutionary itself, I’ve yet to come across a legitimate SEO company that offers such claims.

I’ve just started to work with RankPay on some of my domains. For this blog itself I have booked top rankings for the keyword “internet marketing tools”. We will see, how my rankings with this keyword evolves. I will give it a test shot for 6 months.

I think, RankPay is a great way to get top rankings, without having to worry about the daily inconveniences of rankings and linkbuilding. If you don’t seriously know what you are doing, I recommend that leave it to an SEO service to manage your SEO campaign.
